Application and Selection Policy
The 237 Canadian Excellence Ball is committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and professional process for the nomination, evaluation, and awarding of individuals and organizations. Participation in this awards program is a privilege, and all applicants are expected to adhere to the guidelines outlined below. The Organizing Committee, Pre-Selection Committee, and Jury maintain the authority to accept or reject applications at any stage of the process based on the criteria defined.
1.1. Submitting an application for an award category is considered a formal request to be evaluated based on the criteria outlined by the Organizing Committee.
1.2. All nominees must meet the general basic eligibility criteria outlined at the top of this page.
1.3. By applying, nominees acknowledge that the selection process is competitive, and being chosen as a finalist or winner is a privilege, not a guaranteed right.
2.1. The Pre-Selection Committee reserves the right to reject any application that does not meet the publicly or internally outlined criteria, without the possibility of appeal.
2.2. Applications may be eliminated from consideration at any point if found to be incomplete or not aligned with the standards of the award category.
2.3. Nominees may be required to provide additional documentation or evidence to verify claims made in their applications, such as references, certifications, or supplementary materials.
3.1. The Jury, comprised of distinguished professionals, will evaluate all qualified nominations based on the established internal scoring rubric and criteria.
3.2. The decision of the Jury is final and cannot be challenged or appealed by nominees or any third parties.
3.3. The Organizing Committee will ensure that the selection process is conducted with the highest level of integrity, fairness, and transparency.
4.1. By submitting an application, nominees grant the Organizers the right to use their name, image, and any information or materials provided, both before and after the event, for promotional purposes.
4.2. The Organizers may use photographs and videos from the awards ceremony for marketing and communication purposes across various media channels.
5.1. Personal information collected from nominees will be used solely for the purpose of administering the 237 Canadian Excellence Ball and will not be shared with third parties unless necessary for event management purposes.
5.2. All personal data will be handled in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, ensuring the privacy and security of nominees’ information throughout the process.
6.1. The Organizers will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the nomination, selection, and awarding processes are conducted in a non-discriminatory and unbiased manner.
6.2. Any potential conflicts of interest within the Jury or Organizing Committee will be disclosed and addressed to maintain the integrity of the awards process.
7.1. Finalists and winners will be announced publicly, and their achievements will be celebrated at the 237 Canadian Excellence Ball awards ceremony.
7.2. The Organizers reserve the right to modify the event format or any aspect of the selection process as necessary for the smooth execution of the awards program.
